Document composition

20 Jan. 2011, rev. 23 Jan. 2011, rev. 17 March 2011

The contents of a document are defined by an instance of ClassOfInformationRepresentation. Below is an application model to illustrate that:

Model for example documents (partial)

In this model we have one piece of text in French presented in italics and one JPEG picture presented in "Sunburst" effect as the contents of your document.

Les lauriers roses sont en fleurs.

Our example document

In this case you have two instances of ClassOfInformationRepresentation, the picture and the text, that are composed into our document by using instances of ClassOfCompositionOfIndividual.

For the text you use the subtype ExpressString of ClassOfInformationRepresentation that is classified by an instance of Language 'French'. Language is a subtype of ClassOfClassOfInformationRepresentation. That ExpressString is a specialization of the instance of ClassOfInformationPresentation called 'Italics'.

For the picture you use the subtype ExpressBinary that of ClassOfInformationRepresentation that is classified by an instance of RepresentationForm 'JPEG'. RepresentationForm  is a subtype of ClassOfClassOfInformationRepresentation. That ExpressBinary is a specialization of the instance of ClassOfInformationPresentation called 'SunburstEffect'.
